HTC – Thomas Meyerhoffer on Design

At phö q creative, we love working with people who push boundaries. That’s why collaborating with Thomas Meyerhoffer on a series of films for HTC was something special. If you don’t know Thomas, he’s a Swedish designer who’s left his mark across industrial design, surfboards, and tech innovation—shaping everything at The Porsche industrial design lab to Apple’s early product designs to futuristic surfboard forms that rethink how we ride waves (You may catch Branson riding one of his boards in Bali).

For HTC, Branson tapped into his design authority to craft a narrative that made their latest devices more than just tech—they became objects of thoughtful functionality, aesthetic appeal, and user experience. Meyerhoffer broke down the philosophy behind HTC’s approach, creating content that resonated with both tech enthusiasts and everyday users.

This wasn’t just another product feature campaign. It was about elevating HTC’s brand perception through smart storytelling—blending Hornall Anderson’s (agency) strategic branding expertise, Meyerhoffer’s design sensibility, and HTC’s cutting-edge technology.

Oh, and between shoots, Branson scored two epic days of surfing at Montara Beach with Thomas. Because great ideas always flow better in the water. 🌊
